Payton Aurora is a multi-genre female singer and actor whose roots began in the church singing gospel at the age of five years old and has been singing since the age of three. Payton has touched the lives of many through her gift of song showing agility, courage and resilience while showcasing her musical gifts for all who want to listen in the face of her PLEZA diagnoses and treatment. Payton desires to become an agent for change through the arts and hopes to inspire children to to use their talents to focus on changing the world around us and the status quo of their communities!

Payton Aurora
Biography

Payton Aurora is a multi-genre female singer and actor whose roots began in the church singing gospel at the age of five years old and has been singing since the age of three. Payton has touched the lives of many through her gift of song showing agility, courage and resilience while showcasing her musical gifts for all who want to listen in the face of her PLEZA diagnoses and treatment. Payton desires to become an agent for change through the arts and hopes to inspire children to to use their talents to focus on changing the world around us and the status quo of their communities!
She has performed on many stages opening up for the March of Dimes Marathon NBC 4 before thousands, The only youth featured in the The Creative House International Jazz Day Festival of Inglewood, Long Beach Unity Festival, the Orange County NAACP Juneteenth Celebration, City of Irvine City Council Meetings, Shanti OC Heartstrings and Harmony, Dancer In Me and more.
Payton attends COR Church and serves on the YPD (young Peoples Division) Executive Board as the YPD Worship Leader. She serves in COR's Music and Worship Arts Ministry in multiple choirs and in dance. She leads her Children's Choir as a lead vocalist and soloist. She sings Sunday mornings, in Easter pageants, Christmas concerts, Black History month presentations and much more. Payton is an auxiliary leader in her church assisting in children's church and multiple events in the community.
Payton has been recognized for her volunteerism and is the recipient of the Children's Cancer Awareness Proclamation presented to her by the Mayor of Irvine and the city. She's been featured on the front cover of Orange County Register with CSU, Fullerton President Mildred Garcia volunteering at COR Church at CSU Fullerton Super Sunday event and in 2016. She has most recently been featured in the Orange County Register in an interview about her agility and persistence through her treatment and lifestyle while staring as the Wiz in the OC Arts and Learning 2016 production of the Wiz and was also featured on CBS News 2. She has an appreciation for music history, artist and songs taught to her by her mother and has a learner of the piano and other instruments by singing and playing by ear.
In 2016 Payton was casted as a lead role as the Wiz in the OC Arts and Learning Conservatory Production of the Wiz, Orange County's first ever production of the Wiz. In 2017 she played the role of Little Inez in the Arts and Learning Production of Hairspray. In 2017 Payton's photo is featured as part Life and Culture In the Golden City Art exhibit in Bowers Museum. In 2017 Payton was featured in the OC MLK Choir lead by gospel recording artist Brent Jones. In 2018 Payton Aurora partnered with the Creative House for A Winter of Love Blanket Drive to provide warmth to those in need.
Payton credits her mother and her village for keeping her grounded and loving and supporting her and promises to pay it forward! She wishes to attend performing arts school and further her education in a performing arts university.
